‘Koicam’ is a research which arises from the effects of technology. Invisible communication networks observe our surrounding and produce constant recordings. It results in a overflow of footage, an ongoing digital landscape. Are these images actually perceived or are they valuable in somekind of way?
In the deluge of images I search for a friction between nature and the digital. As digital technology becomes more integral to our daily life, ‘nature’ and ‘artificial’ increasingly merging. By placing it in a different context and slowing down the process it allows the viewer to look critically again and add a new value.
